New 24p ingest-to-post solution
Speeding up processes
EVS unveiled its new ingest-to-post solution that speeds up live multi-camera feed ingest and post-production functions. The new solution is based on XS-NEO, EVS' new software-defined server which offers concurrent support of multiple formats, codecs and framerates (including 24p), and the IPD-VIA Ingest app, a new ingest control application that offers easy scheduling of camera feeds ingested directly on the XS-NEO through an intuitive HTML 5 web interface.

VIA Flow
Central and agile workflow engine
VIA Flow is a central and agile workflow engine that covers the entire EVS product portfolio, from ingest all the way to digital distribution. It is one of the key improvements brought by EVS’ VIA platform of microservices as VIA Flow allows production teams to create new workflows that yield a highly collaborative live production environment where every member can instantly access, edit, archive live content even at a distance.

Virtualization
Creating smarter infrastructures
This year, visitors were keen to discover EVS’ virtualization solutions that allow users to run EVS backend tools as virtual machines for more flexibility and agility. EVS offers two deployment modes, using either third-party hosting hardware, or its PMZ hypervisor appliance, designed for mobile production units.

XNet-VIA ethernet media sharing network
3 x the bandwidth of EVS legacy SDTI network
XNet-VIA, the new ethernet-based live media sharing network, expands the capabilities of the XT-VIA and XS-VIA servers by creating a faster sharing environment for higher-resolution UHD-4K, 1080p and HDR productions. At the core of the XNet-VIA deployment, is XHub-VIA, the network switch that is specifically optimized and pre-configured to seamlessly set up and operate XNet-VIA networks over ethernet.
