Beyond replay

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, EVS continues to lead the industry with expertise extending far beyond replays. Our 'This Is Not a Replay' campaign, inspired by Belgian painter Magritte, highlights our expanded portfolio covering various critical areas in live production. This year at the IBC show, we are thrilled to welcome Noir-Artist, a member of the new generation of Belgian painters, who will bring our vision to life with a live performance painting at our stand!

Show highlights We look forward to showcasing our innovations in live production, replays and highlights, content management, distribution and monetization, real-time processing and routing, as well as video assistance. Here are some of the highlights:

VIA MAP 1.0: enabling the EVS premium live ecosystem. Officially launched on July 1st, VIA MAP 1.0 is our innovative media asset platform that seamlessly bridges the gap between live production and distribution, and paves the way for effective content monetization. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the platform’s features in-depth and gain insights into how it can enhance their media operations.

Enhanced quality and speed of content delivery. We will also introduce new features within our MediaHub® content exchange and delivery solution. These include user-defined emoticons that can now be used as metadata on clips or specific time-codes within clips. These can be shared with other users, making it easy to search for and select content. Additionally, the auto-clipping feature automatically generates sub-clips based on logfile tags, ensuring no key moments are missed and significantly reducing the time required to publish.

Gen AI for improved picture quality in replays. EVS continues its investment in AI technology to advance content search capabilities, but also to enhance live storytelling with creative elements. Following the success of XtraMotion®, which employs generative AI to create super slow-motion footage from any camera, we are introducing more AI-driven effects in the LiveCeption® solution. New features include a cinematic bokeh effect for simulating shallow depth of field and a zoom effect that produces high-quality close-ups from wide-angle shots.

Dynamic resource management. The new Cerebrum Resource Manager license allows facilities to better plan and manage their resources based on their different production needs. By optimizing equipment and device allocations and reservations, it ensures productions are executed efficiently with minimal waste.

Advanced multiviewing. Our Neuron View multiviewer offers an improved web-based layout control application (GUI), simplifying the configuration process and enabling on-the-fly adjustments. Expanded SDI and IP I/O capabilities also give production teams greater flexibility in managing various signal types.

Flexible SDI/IP processing paths. The latest release of our multi-channel IP gateway, Neuron Bridge, introduces enhanced flexibility in defining processing paths, whether bridging SDI to IP or IP to SDI. This flexibility is essential for broadcast facilities adapting to the shift towards modern IP-based systems. Additionally, Neuron Bridge now features improved packet reordering, ensuring more robust handling of out-of-spec and jittery signals.
